Installation

WearSSH ships as an Android Wear OS app, with an optional phone companion app.

Requirements

• A Wear OS watch running Wear OS 3.0 (API 24+) or newer
• Google Play Services installed on the watch
• A device to SSH into (any standard SSH server — Linux, macOS, routers, containers, etc.)
• (Optional) A paired Android phone if you want to use the companion app

Install on the watch

1. Open the Play Store app on your Wear OS watch (or on your phone under the Wear OS companion app’s “Apps on watch” section).
2. Search for Wear SSH.
3. Install it directly on the watch.

Install the phone companion app (optional)

The companion app lets you view synced SSH keys and manage servers from your phone.

1. Open the Play Store on your phone.
2. Search for Wear SSH.
3. Install it.

Pair it with the watch through the standard Wear OS companion app pairing flow — no extra setup is required once both apps are installed.
